Requirements to start a Matriculation School



To start a school in the next academic year application should be submitted to the authority by the end of December 31st of every year.



Land :


Three acres in rural area or one acre in the township.

But provision should also be made for play ground.

Five acres of land is ideal.


Building :


10 sq.feet is needed for a student. 40 students per class is viable.


Class Rooms 5 x 400 = 2000 sq. ft.


Principal Room with attached toilet 1 x 400 = 400 sq. ft.


Laboratory 1 x 1000 = 1000 sq.ft.


Library 1 x 800 = 800 sq.ft


Audio visual & Computer Room 1 x 600 = 600 sq.ft.


Office Room 1 x 400 = 400 sq.ft.


Games Room 1 x 300 = 300 sq.ft.


Staff Room 1 x 300 = 300 sq.ft.


Store Room 1 x 200 = 200 sq.ft.



Minimum Requirement Total = 6000 sq.ft.


Sanitation :


Separate toilets and urinals should be provided for staff and for students.


Details of Fixatures and Fittings :


Class and Library, Laboratory, Office rooms, teachers room etc should be provided.

Building Approximately : 75 lakhs


Laboratory : 1 lakh


Library 1000 titles : 1.5 lakhs


Computers 5 Nos. : 2.0 lakhs


Furnitures : 4.0 lakhs


Games & Sports : 0.5 lakhs
